Kilduff and Fortune suspended for big game
Kildare County face into possibly their biggest match of the season as they take on Athlone Town tomorrow Friday 19th September with a 7.45 kick off in Station Road.
County sit five points adrift of both Athlone Town and Wexford Youths with a game in hand.
“This really is a six pointer “ said John Ryan yesterday.
Bad news appears to follow County and once again suspensions will play a major part with Colin Fortune and leading goal scorer Ciaran Kilduff having to sit out this important game as their yellow cards have caught up with them.
John will rely on the squad that lost to league leaders Dundalk last week with Austin O’Neill, Craig Mooney, Colin Osborne and Paul Donnolly all expected to return to duty.
John is looking for supporters to get behind the team in a game that will go along way towards deciding County’s final position in the League.
County’s record against Athlone is a good one – see below- and County Supporters are looking for a repeat.
