The stadium was bought by Newbridge Town FC in the early 1980s. Newbridge Town worked hard over the intervening years to develop a multi-purpose facility which includes a sports hall, two all-weather five-a-side pitches and a gravel playing area.

The main stand was designed by Newbridge Town's Jimmy Fagan and includes 250 seats and a corporate area for 70 guests. Planning permission has been sought for a second stand and the installation of floodlights.
