County add to panel for 2004 season

County have added another former Monaghan United player to their panel for the 2004 season. Having already secured the services of teak-tough midfielder Alan Byrne (22), manager Eric Hannigan has swooped for twenty-one year old Alan King. King, a utility player who is equally comfortable in midfield or up-front, signed up last night and is due to make an appearance along with Byrne in the game in aid of the Mick Wright Leukaemia Foundation at Station Road tomorrow (Sunday) night.

King will be an able replacement for Ray Scully, who has departed County to join the Vikings. Also on the panel for tomorrow�s game will be local brothers Andrew and Alan Dowling. Both have been very impressive in the Kildare League�s Oscar Traynor campaign this season and their involvement is in line with the club�s strategy of adding local talent to the squad.
