Cooling returns to Thoroughbreds
Stephen makes welcome return.
Yesterday saw manager John Ryan complete the transfer of former County midfielder Stephen Cooling back to the Thoroughbreds after half a season at Waterford United.
Cooling, who is 24, was a regular at Station Road last season, where he scored ten goals from midfield, before Gareth Cronin brought him to the Blues, where injury limited his involvement after a good start to the season.
Stephen played his early football with Raheny United before travelling to the States to take up a scholarship and was a key player in the Memphis Tigers College team, playing in the middle of midfield.
The Dublin native endeared himself to the County fans during the 2006 season and was rewarded by being named 2006 player of the year for the Thoroughbreds. He is a dead ball expert and his talents will be a great asset to Kildare.
