Another KDFL player makes breakthrough
The latest Kildare and District FL player to join the Thoroughbreds is 24 year old Eoghan Carew, who was named KDFL Senior player of the year last season. Eoghan who has been with Coill Dubh AFC since he joined as an under ten has 3 Kildare League Senior medals.
A son of well known GAA star Tommy, who holds seven all Ireland medals at several levels and was nominated on the millennium Hurling and Football teams, Eogan says that he is really looking forward to his first training session with John Ryan’s side tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
“I’m going to give it my best shot and see how it works out" said Eoghan. "Hopefully I can give a good account of myself and convince John that I am worth a start on the side” said the strong and skilful midfielder, who has been a part of the KDFL Oscar Traynor representative side for a number of years.
He holds a county senior championship medal won with Coill Dubh Hurling club and has player Junior football for the County.
