Barry back at Station Road
Following an absence of a year Barry Slattery makes a welcome return to the Thoroughbreds camp, having signed from St Patricks recently. Barry, who is equally at home at right back or on the right of midfield, was a member of the Kildare County under 21 side which was beaten by Cork City in the final of the Enda McGuill cup in 2006 and made almost 20 appearances for the First Division side the same season.
While at Pats he was named under 21 player of the year for 2007. Slattery joints midfielder Michael Comerford (ex Kilkenny City), goalkeeper Charlie Tracey (Drogheda United) and striker Ciaran Kilduff (on loan from Shamrock) as John Ryan’s new signings at Station Road this season.
